How Toc H Works in Australia

Toc H in Australia is nationally connected and locally led, combining a shared purpose with community-based service delivery across the country.

At a national level, Toc H Australia provides stewardship of the movement. This includes national coordination, custodianship of shared values and identity, and representing Toc H at a national and international level. It ensures continuity, integrity, and connection across generations, while supporting regions to do what they do best: serve their communities.

Across Australia, Toc H is organised into two regions, the Southern Region and the Northern Region. Each region reflects its own communities, priorities, and strengths, while remaining united by the same Toc H compass and shared commitment to service.

In both regions, Toc H is fundamentally about service delivery. It is lived out through programs, places, volunteering, and partnerships that respond directly to local needs. This local focus is a strength of the federated model, allowing Toc H to remain relevant, practical, and grounded.

Here in the Southern Region, Toc H South Australia delivers community-based programs and services that focus on connection, wellbeing, inclusion, and participation. Our work is shaped by the communities we serve and the people who volunteer alongside us.

We are equally proud of the work of our Northern Region colleagues, particularly our Queensland Toc H community. Their programs, services, and volunteer leadership reflect the same values, expressed in ways that suit their communities. The diversity of approaches across regions is one of Toc H’s greatest strengths.

Together, this federated model allows Toc H in Australia to be both cohesive and flexible. Nationally connected. Regionally led. Locally delivered.

It’s a structure that honours Toc H’s history while enabling it to continue evolving, ensuring the movement remains relevant, responsive, and deeply connected to the communities it serves.
